Together for Access to Marine Resources
is a non-profit organization whose objective is to promote accessibility to the sea and its many resources for Quebec residents. Our approach is intended to be unifying and is part of a perspective of food autonomy and reappropriation of Quebec's natural resources for the communities in collaboration with other stakeholders and in harmony with environmental capacity. We are actively working so that Quebec citizens who share these goals have the opportunity to harvest a wider variety of marine species using techniques that are not currently available in the province. More specifically, our objectives are:
● Promote and support citizen access to Quebec’s marine resources;
● Participate in studies relating to the implementation of and access to new recreational sampling methods;
● Participate in the dissemination of information relating to citizen access to marine resources;
● Raise awareness and educate the Quebec population on issues relating to access to marine resources, food autonomy as well as subsistence fishing and sustainable fishing;
● Participate and facilitate the collection of scientific data relating to citizen access to marine resources;
● Bring the voice of members to the authorities.
